Parent-Child Arguments

Society is changing—it’s global and more technologically advanced than ever before. Children are becoming the leaders in technological preparedness. They also have a stronger voice—so much so, that corporations spend millions of dollars advertising to them each day. Today’s children have become important decision-makers affecting the global economy. They’re also taking more classes in school and are involved in more extra-curricular activities. Relaxation includes television, video games or instant messaging—all of which become a major source of battles with parents/guardians and teachers. Children get blamed for not being physically active enough and for the rising obesity rates. They’re also living in fear of this evasive war on terrorism. It’s a difficult time for children, despite their increased access to luxuries. EWF works with parents and children on understanding how these differences impact parenting roles in the 21st century. Personalities are examined along with environmental demands and existing family support structures. An individualized parenting plan of action and health is developed and follow-up coaching sessions are offered as needed.
